because MV changed the design on the left side.
That is the reason no aftermarket rearset will work.
Tried them all Rizoma, Gilles Tooling .........

Hi all,
I have a 2015MY Brutale 800 RR with the very expensive Moto Corse rearsets which IMO are the best looking by far. I was on the moto corse website and they have a new complete Brutale MY2017 onwards with what looks like to be the same Moto Corse reasets. If you don't mind the hole left but upper most strut that the rear passenger pegs seem to come off as there are 3 fixing points not 2 like earlier models then this could be the way to go. I'm sure a simple email to them would get you your answer.

They won't work. If you look at them, the new shift pedal is mounted at the kick stand instead of being attached at the foot peg. So the rod that connects the shifter to the pedal must be changed to it goes straight down to the new pedal. And there's where the problem is. The new Brutale has the generator rectifier attached to the left side now and it is in the way. The connecting rod can't go straight down... it has to go through the frame like OEM. I know because I've already tried this. So I've been looking for a rearset that maintains the OEM geometry. The MotoCorse looks like it does, as well as one by CNC racing. Though CNC told me via email it wouldn't work. I would order it and try but the are not returnable so I'm unwilling to take the $600USD risk.

Do the passenger pegs ride on the same bracket as the driver's? If you install these I'd imagine you'd do away with the whole bracket assembly, is that a correct assumption?

This is my 2017 Brutale. The blue box shows the problem. For all the rear sets I've seen, except for the MotoCorse, the green line shows the new required position of the connecting rod for the shifter. But the blue box is the rectifier for the generator. And unfortunately, it's about 10mm too far to the right to clear the connecting rod. I even took the cover off the rectifier and there's still not enough room. The only option is for the connecting rod to stay on the current path through the frame.

Thanks for explaining. Did you modify your exhaust?
