Unhappy White Dragster RR Rear Wheel Yellowing ??

Hi there
Ive seen one other dragster with the rear wheel Yellowing problem.

The rear wheel is perfectly clean as is the front wheel. BUT the rear wheel is going creamy yellow instead of brilliant white.

Anybody else seen this?

Graham

Cheers

MY white wheels do this quite often . Looks like nicoteen on them . It's from the exhaust fumes on mine . Just use some muc off and elbow grease every now and then and they come up good as new .

I coat both my wheels with poorboys wheel sealant, makes it easier to clean the brake dust, chain lube, exhaust stains off.

Even on my black wheels I use a wheel sealant.
The short pipes blow exhaust gasses across the wheel. Start it in the garage on a cool day and your wheel will be wet in 30 seconds.

Ok the wheel is PERFECTLY CLEAN. Not a mark on it no chain lube no exhaust crap nothing squeeky clean.

The wheel is just cream now. Front wheel is perfect white but back is yellowing. I think its a bad batch of white paint. I know of 2 other White Dragsters with the problem early MY16's.

I also suffer from yellow wheels. This is an easy fix that soap and water take care of.

As already said it can be perfectly clean but you need a good bike cleaner like muc off, pro clean or similar to actually clean it up. Mine went really yellow at one point, I used this and bought it back 90% then just wipe it over or give it a polish every week until it starts going yellow again and repeat the first bit

WoW i clay barred part of the wheel. Still yellow. Obviously if you can clean your wheel and it goes white again your wheel is dirty not yellow.

Also used a cut and polish still yellow.

What is clay barring. -> http://www.autogeek.net/detailing-clay-bar.html

What about Innotec Multi Clean? That gets almost everything really clean.

What a beast of a motorcycle!
It growls and rages and flies across the tarmac like a wild animal that has escaped the confinement of a cage and after merely waiting restlessly until the release, will not endure being locked up ever again.

Pics of yellow wheel. Some close ups would be nice.
