Unhappy Sad Dragster owner from NZ

Recently bought a Dragster 800, what a lovely bike!

However, only had it for a week and it's broken - "Throttle position sensor" fault. The dealer said that it's common problem among MV bikes and have to order it from Italy. They also said it would take 3 weeks, so I reluctantly accepted that.

3 weeks later, I phoned the NZ dealer again following up the progress. The answer was upsetting! I was told have too wait at least 3 weeks or possibly months! So far, they have not received feedback from MV, in other words, no order confirmation! no parcel tracking! NOTHING!

So, I am begging here, any friends may have a connection of MV Australia, or Italy, can help me on fixing my broken heart.

Thanks and regards
Rui

Rui, first let me say welcome and that I absolutely love your country!
I have a good friend, brother really, that lives in Palmerston North.
He is know as The_Castle on this forum.

Second, please have a read through this: http://www.mvagusta.net/forum/showthread.php?t=172282

It may help you understand what is going on with MV at this time.

No need for a refund...if you have patience.

Have you tried unplugging the throttle connector and reconnecting? I got to be worth a go.

I feel your pain mate! No point contacting Aussie importer as I'm in the same boat as you are, waiting for parts from MV. Could be a while!

Welcome Rui
Plenty of info here (follow the link) that may get you by while you wait, as the wait may be awhile
I had similar issues when the Australian Importer changed over and no warranty claims were being processed.

No, I haven't tried that. The bike is with Red Baron (the dealer) now.

Yeah, I was told the same.
Believe or not, I feel we are missing out the last bit of this summer.

Thanks for sharing the link, I'm surprised there are some many MVs having same problem. My one happened 5 times in a row on my way home, while I filter through all the traffic before motorway ramp and just ready to launch, and then the error message showed up, I had to ride away at speed of 35km max... and waving sorry to people behind me.
