Headlight assembly connectors...

Hello folks, new to the forum, I searched high and low, and am mostly just here for information about sourcing parts.

I have a B3 800 headlight assembly that I am attempting to use with on naked GSXR 1000 that I am setting up. The headlight requires what appears to be a 4 pin sicma connector with 2.8mm terminals, but for the closest thing I can find is a 5 pin 2.8mm connector, or a 4 pin 1.5mm connector. So I'm guessing this connector was a one off thing commissioned by MV, or maybe just something that is not sold in the US for some reason (couldnt find anything on Mouser or Digikey).

Is there a store that sells MV OEM parts that might carry these connectors? I mean I can make this work even without the connector, but I want it to be clean

Welcome Bo'6. The Marketplace section of the forum has our sponsors. In there you will find Star Twin Trading. They can probably hook you up.

The US is a mighty big place, can you narrow it down? Someone right next door might have what you seek.

Hey, thanks for the welcome and the hint, I'm gonna go check that out!

I am located in Portland, Oregon. If anyone around this area has loads of B3 harnesses laying around I would love to have a look, haha.

I guess I should also make sure and figure out what kind of power those running light LEDs are gonna want. I cant open this headlight assembly up (no screws or anything) and get a good look at the PCB.

Other option is to push the pins out of the plastic connector and find matching female terminals to wire on the bike side. This is what I did for space reasons with an LED headlight on the dragster.

+1

I actually got the terminals for this headlight (female, 2.8mm), and found that with a little dremel work a standard molex connector (the type used in desktop computers) will work, especially if I add one of the waterproofing rubber sleeve thingies I got with some sicma connectors of the same size. I'm sure this will work great, but I'm also sure MV is better than me at making connectors that won't rattle out.

Could you tell me if there's a part number on the 4 pin connector housing that's attached to your wiring harness, Michael?
