Quick F3 Oil Question

I've managed to get hold of a factory service manual,

On the owners book they recommend 5w-40 oil while in the service book they recommend 20w-50?

My only answer is that the service book is for American /hotter climates while the owners book is European conditions (They import the European bikes here)?

Since were I live it often gets over 30 degrees C, I take it that 20W-50 would be what I'm shopping for?

I only do weekend and track riding so could a 10W-40 be better for that?

I always use Motul Ester 300V, which is 10W40. I had the dealer use that oil on my bike during first service. Have used it for years on all my bikes, including my track S1000RR.

Currently - '13 Ducati Multistrada (for sale), '09 Daytona (track only)
Previously - '13 F800GS, '13 MV F3, '10 S1000RR, '04 Royal Enfield 500, '97 Yamaha RX135, '90 Yamaha RD350...and many more.

I just bought Motul 300v 10W-40 yesterday before you posted (shops are open on Sundays).
