GPS mount

I am looking to mount a Garmin Zumo 660 on my F3, but have not been able to find a mount that would work. Does anyone here know or can recommend a mount that has been found to work? I would prefer to mount it on the steering stem nut like my S1000RR below:

I bought a Techmount and though I was able to install it on my clutch side control clamps, there wasn't enough clearance for the GPS.

Currently - '13 Ducati Multistrada (for sale), '09 Daytona (track only)
Previously - '13 F800GS, '13 MV F3, '10 S1000RR, '04 Royal Enfield 500, '97 Yamaha RX135, '90 Yamaha RD350...and many more.

I run the same lower mount with a different device clamp (the universal X clamp) on my Brutale and GSXR 750. My GSXR is a race bike and I didn't like the steering mount location because it blocked my dash as well as got in the way of my face shield when I was in a full tuck down the straights. So I relocated the steering stem tapered rubber mount into the inboard end of my race clip ons and it fit perfectly, lowered the whole unit several inches, cleared up some view of the dash, and got the unit out of the way for full tuck riding. You probably don't have hollow open clip ons on the stock set up but if you do give that a try. Or if you buy aftermarket clips ons you can most likely run this set up on your F3.

BTW - I just test rode an F3 a few days ago, great little fun bike, seems like it would be stellar on a track. Almost strange to be on an MV with such a light turn throttle, comfy ergos, and smooth fueling! Quick shifter seemed calibrated opposite of my race bike - buttery smooth at cruising speeds but a little clunky when giving it full throttle.

Did you check out http://www.rammount.com? They have a set-up wizard and the F3 is referenced...for what it is worth...

Yes, this mount is listed, but won't work for a GPS. There is simply not enough clearance around the clipons for it.

Hi!

I've found something which is applicable to a F3 for mounting GPS or cameras. But in my opinion the price isn't worth. I don't wanna spend more than 200 bucks just for a mounting kit.

Are there any other alternatives?

Don't know if it will work for YOU, but there is a mount which attaches using the fuel cap bolts.
Don't know who makes it but I have seen it on a number of bikes around here.
I think it is a semi circular mount which still gives you access to the fuel cap.

Reviving this here, but do you guys know if the Ram X Grip mount will actually fit on the F3, to use with a cell phone? I can't seem to find the set-up wizard on their site. I just want to have a mount that I can quickly throw on for the very occasional need for navigation on my cell.
