2018 new crankcases / Covers

I see the 2018 MV F3 has a new clutch cover that extends a lot further back leading me to believe that the 2018 model has a different rear crankcase to prior models.

Anybody with some inside info on the changes?

I see the ignition side has a full plastic cover covering the entire LHS of the motor, is it possible the clutch side is also a plastic cover?

If it is a plastic cover, what would the primary purpose be? Noise reduction?

I see they also plugged the top opening on the swingarm, you can no longer see the chain running through the swingarm. I take it that would be for noise also?

So a plastic engine cover on the Stator side, and is the clutch cover actually made of plastic instead of aluminum?
odd they closed off the swingarm.

I do like how they moved the rear brake reservoir, going to look into buying the mounting bracket (or make my own) to move mine there.. cleaner for sure.
