I'm going to remove the petrol tank on my Brutale to replace fuel hoses, spark plugs and possibly air filter. I've done a search on the forum but can't see anything regarding the standard air filter. I can't see OEM filters on the 'net so before buying a DNA or BMC filter I was wondering if anyone can confirm if the standard filter is a paper or foam type?
Thanks CAG, that's what I was thinking due to the lack of OEM replacements. Are they normally ok to clean and re-oil with something like No Toil or K&N filter oil (bike has done 6000Km/3700Mi)?
I've never tried to oil the stock foam oil filter so I don't know. I don't think new ones are that expensive. Or maybe there is a guy on the forum that has a BMC filter from a crashed Brutale laying around and you could get it for cheap.
Hey Chris, hope you had a good ride the other day.
Just be diligent with the tank removal, if you've got a friend to give you a hand the first time round it can save some potential heart-ache....you don't want to wreck the hoses/tank in the process.
Cheers
