George, Andrew and I haven't purchased anything from them in some time and I think that might be the reason they are closing. All jokes aside, it's sad that we are losing a great vendor. Their selection and service have been impeccable during the years I've done business with Al.
Sudden and sad. I'm fortunate to have purchased on sale over the holidays all the upgrades I wanted to do over the winter: clutch slave, water pump, Samco, rear hub, and misc.
Hi Guy's
Yes Design Corse went out of business... SADLY they were allowed to trade up until the end of December 2019, at which time on the 29th December I made a purchase of $600 for parts for my F3 800 RC, checking on my order at the beginning of January 2020 saw the message that Design Corse ceased to trade..
I contact the receiver and spoke to Anne Marie managing the liquidation.. only to be informed that I wont be receiving the parts, and no money to be returned..
Companies would know well in advance that things are financially going wrong.. and so would the receivers they are dealing with.. BUT allowing them to trade up until the day of stop trading and suck in honest customers stinks.
Yes Design Corse went out of business.. BUT they have just ripped off one of many loyal customers.
Wow is that ever a shocker! I have to say, their customer service was EXCELLENT. Bellisimoto is in very much the same vein, in website layout, parts finder filters and pricing.
What makes you say that about Bellisimoto? Funny you mentioned that because I just got an email from them saying they are not going anywhere anytime soon. They are US based and are not owned by any conglomerates. I've ordered from them in the past and have had great service.
I read about this today, very sad for the staff etc and those owed parts or money. Unfortunately this is often the case where the customers are the last to know and the staff not much sooner and even then only by guess work and rumour (credit terms with suppliers suddenly stopped).
The administrators will usually continue to run a company to complete orders but this is only in cases where the completion will result in getting paid. Prepaid orders like mail order loose out and your only hope is if you paid by credit card or the like?
There are good competitors and there are bad ones... Design Corse was a good one. I had a friendly relationship with Al over the years. For those of you who were use to great brands, good customer service and a friendly approach, we are here for you.
I would highly recommend GPracing. Alex has sent me items before we even worked out a price. He always answers my calls and is more than willing to track down any questions I have.
They have probably paid their advertising fee with the forum up to the end of the billing cycle.
