The MV is being retired...

As usually happens, she got replaced by a younger model.

While I have the F4 up and running again (actually quite well) Ive kind of come to terms with the fact that its an older, uncommon bike. Getting parts isnt as easy and I realized that if I were to go down on the track it could take ages to get it up again (if at all) so she is being put out to pasture. Not going to sell it, just use it for nice days, the occasional mountain run, and (if work is calm at the time) the next Gapalicious.

The smart man would just get a japanese bike, something I can get replacement parts for from the vendors AT the track. Im not a smart man, I found all of the Japanese bikes souless and ugly, so I just got a younger version of the old model:

Very similar in size/feel to the F4. A bit more power, a bit more usable. Its already got a programmable ECU, quick shifter, traction control, etc. Should be a good place to start.

Ducati's most beautiful motorcycle design to date.
A panigale 1299 or V4 cant match that sexyness.

Very nice addition and not a bad way to spend your time either... if not mistaken you can also upgrade the motor to the 899 or 959 if you so choose.

2011 Triumph 675R

I tried this principle with wives, but it proved rather expensive.

If you can't fix it with a hammer you've got an electrical problem!
