As others wrote, I hope the bike is released as it is(absolutely doable, minus the exhaust for compliance of course) and as raw as possible!
I'm starting to get sick of all the cafe/retro/neo-retro/scrambler non-sense. There are some honest propositions out there but generally too much image, pretense and superficiality. The other day I saw a person hammering the reservoir of his Honda on purpose. Afterwards telling people it was an accident or he used it "as found" I'm sure. He had a scratched Ruby helmet also. Get the fuck out 'a' here!

Back to the subject, assuming one installs a full system/map, I reckon it can provide quite the experience. Even better with an available cams/header package

By the way the original racing variant FTR750 is available to individuals for 50000$ and 45000$ to teams, if I'm not mistaken.

Well, this new FTR1200S might not look as nice as the "Public Temping" prototype, is does look better with a set of aftermarket exhausts.

With a few more bolt on bits & pieces , this new FTR1200S has potential.

I've been keeping my eye on the FTR1200 development. After seeing the actual production model, I am just a wee bit on the fence...

The website shows it with a different exhaust that looks like a Ducati monster and it sucks. If they can't do it with the up swept exhaust then don't build it

It's a fun bike to ride. I was only able to put 100 or so miles on one but I had a good time on it. I think comfort would have been a big issue if the seat and exhaust did not changed. As good as the prototype bike looked, it wasn't going to be practical as a daily rider with the seat design.

I've only seen pictures of the S&S pipes on it so I look forward to hearing how they sound.

That's the prototype in the video....not the production bike.

Here's the production bike.

Correct. I've heard some aftermarket exhausts on the production version but not the setup from S&S yet.
