And so the end of a chapter...........for now

Well I've gone to the dark side and returned to the land of the rising sun

Done the deal on this today

Fancied a change and something new, despite the sabbatical to MV I guess if you cut me open my blood is green (or burnt orange in this case)

It's been a blast and I've loved both my MV's for different reasons and given the option and the money I would always have a space in my garage for a Brutale 800 but alas my wallet just doesn't allow just yet

It's been emotional guys

Not sure the Gixxer comes with panniers, it's not a ZX10, it's a Z1000SX and the equivalent Suzuki is just plain fugly

In the words of the great and wise Obi-Wan Kenobi "who's the more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?"

Don't even go there, I went into my local BMW dealer when I was shopping around and one of the things that made me walk straight back out, despite the rude disinterested staff, was the group of BMW owners in their BMW clothing with their "Polite" high-viz bibs!

Well its been a while now and all change here.
Me and the above Kawasaki parted company 18mths ago.........literally! The bike decided it felt a sudden and irresistible attraction for the front bumper of a VW Passat Estate, it was a fairly low speed spill so I was ok but the bike faired far worse, the cause some sort of oil/diesel based spill on the corner I was negotiating (I saw afterwards as I was picking up remains of plastic, a site entrance with "Plant turning" warning signs so guessing that was the cause?). As the rear wheel was now making an effort to cuddle up to the front one it was safe to say it was an insurance write off.

So an impending house move required me to lay off 2 wheels for a while, (f$*king, B**tard, thieving tax man! £10k!? that's a lot of f**king stamps!)

So after 12 months of settling down the finances I was back in the position to get back on 2 wheels, that and the fact we had evaluated our vehicle needs and decided we really only needed one car between us as I have a company supplied van for work.

But the pull of the Italian mark has called again, (jap bikes really don't compare) unfortunately though this time its the Bologna region this time instead of Varese.

Picked this up on Friday Now I'm back on the road, hope to be a little more active on all the forums, if I can find the time
