Break in V. Track day

So I have a 2017 B3. I'm only 250 miles into it and so I haven't had my first service but there's a track day coming up I want to get on. I know some people advocate a trackday to break motorcycles in but you guys think this is too early?

You will be fine...just don't spend all day on the rev limit.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

Some will say "hard break in" is good.
Others say the information in a manual exist for a reason.

Anyway, after the trackday I would replace the oil though

You'll be fine, lots of guys over here use track days to run new bikes in, most do an oil change half way through the the day, but they're guys who ride them hard.
The stuff in the manual is more a "duty of care" issue.

if your oil tmps dont get hotter than you siting in traffic dont feel the need to change it after track use. a novice rider in slow groups bike can in both water & oil run cooler on track than on street, especially in cities like Miami la ny Houston....
event guys ripping I think 5 20min sessions isn't worth changing oil. these engines work a lot less hard than a 250f mx bike and that goes 20x longer for oil interval and is subjected to way rougher and harder wot use, and then cars are running way way hotter oil temps... your not using some speciality lab made 0-20 one heat cycle use race only oil..

ride and enjoy oil should be last thing on your mind when at the track and 250 miles is broken in plenty for you to enjoy it without worry
