F3 800 Almeria

Just got back from Spain, I only rode the gsxr but a mate did Andalusia and Almeria

Running Bridgestone v02s, few small mods and a decent steering damper but otherwise standard

He was in fast group and ran 1.48.5s at almeria at his best and 2.11s at andalusia

I'm the plonker waving at times on the moto gp looking gsxr

There's a few on there

I'm there on the 2nd December. Was doing 1.52 last year on my ZX10r, wanting to do 1.50's this time.

There was 12 of us who all went out there. Half of us including me was the first time. A guy had been 4 times this year on an S1000RR and couldn't crack sub 1.50s

I found for me it was all in the tight stuff. Gassing between bends not just keeping a constant throttle and 2 places I was definitely making some ground was the 3 sweepy rights up the top of the track. I took it as one never changing the angle only the throttle position.

The other was the braking into that chicane. Kept it tight left over the bone crest then dead straight aiming for the very right - it just meant I could brake in a near on straight line

You got the perfect bike to do it on, especially down that back straight if you're brave on the brakes

This will be my fourth time there.

There's a slip road/path on the left at the end of the back straight. That's my braking marker. Your mate seems to shut off just before it most laps.

My ten wasn't set up too good so was struggling in the tighter stuff.

That is one scary blind crest and you can make heeps up through there, sadly I've no balls to get it right lol
