Could it be that although the billionaire media owners have a great deal in common with Twump, they recognise that Twump is not good at his job? That is more plausible than that they are 'liberials'. And they may well be liberials as you yanks call them, but there first priority is..... profit. Poor Donald, is the world picking on him.

While Australians have waxed and wained about global warming over the last ten years, it is now a major election issue for later this year. It seems very likely that Labor will win, and that of course will give momentum to the left in America. Women & young democratic socialists. Tick tick, they will be coming for your taxes, your energy sources, your guns, your ugly & obese cars, and will surely make you all drive microcars, until Elon can make enough electric microcars for you all. I wil put in a good word with AOC for you.

I have noticed that several of the 'conservatives' on this thread have said things that suggest, if I was being blunt, that they have no idea how a democracy works. One or 2 particulalry sage individuals even suggested that guns were the answer to laws they do not like. Bad sports and poor losers.

I am happy to explain how a democracy works if you need clarification.

So, if I understand your reasoning correctly, your mouse accidently chose the poke point for this thread and your finger, without provocation from you, selected the correct button to press and voila' you found your way here?

As for the nicknames thing, I believe it was in reference to your infantile use of words like " Twump" to signify your disapproval of a world leader.

You can look up the parable of the blind men and the elephant. It is an ancient story.

More or less, I noticed what looked like a potentially interesting/amusing topic, and by chance it was a posting by Noel, an unusually silly meme, which made me laugh, although that was not its intention. In much the same way I came across the disappointing sexism & subsequent justification of those unimaginative attitudes on the 'daydream believer' thread, I saw a post to it from a funny bugger, and got a laugh from his post, before realising that it was a 'free spirit' thread, apparently.

I often spell words with an R in them, with a W. I am flattered that it would upset Donald. Thanks for the encouragement.

Sure, I know the elepahnt thang, you posted about it earlier. Like all the memes, video clips, links and so on, how is it relevant?

As there is usually a diversity of opinion in a democracy, some people are more, or less happy than others about the laws that are passed at that time. One can vote for someone else to change the laws, if one likes, but if one belives that the earth is flat and that there is a need for greater investment in turnip production to offset the earth's flatness, then one may well be perenially disappointed.

A common theme amongst the liberial loathers seems to be a reluctance to accept that fact, that there will be decisions made that do not advantage one personally, and may even disadvantage one personally. I imagine there were a lot of horse and carriage owners who were most distreessed about the introduction of motor cars. Change is inevitable, entropy and all.

Where exactly, are these American liberials? Apart from esq'z me, and occasssionally Ryan, they are conspicious by their absence. Matters not, tick tick, change is a coming, the privileges that the rich old white men have taken for granted are about to start getting shared around a liitle more. How alarmingly Marxist.
