I've just copied & pasted this from another thread:

Melanie and I were woken by a strong earthquake just after midnight.
We are several hundred kilometres from the epicentre where early reports indicate a 7.5 magnitude earthquake near Hamner Springs in the South Island. That is not far from Christchurch, where several forum members are based.

Thankfully, we are fine.

Thanks for starting a thread Noel. Your thoughts are appreciated.

It ain't what you ride, it's the way you ride it.
