This has not been reported in the US.

Ben Spies has said repeatedly that he is happy in the US to keep running this series. I think he's making quite a bit of money. He has also said that he doesn't like flying in airplanes, but he said later that he is going to work on that.

Obviously, his next step is MotoGP because he's doing pretty well on a Superbike. I'd guess he's one of the better superbike riders in the world, after reading comments by Neil Hodgson.

Spies has said he would not do another series unless he was on machines capable of winning. In MotoGP, that isn't very many but with his and Biaggi's levels of talent, anything may be possible.

What team was doing this Pier? Suzuki, Honda, what? I'd say that Suzuki and Kawasaki might be ready to add more bikes...

It would be probably with the current team of Biaggy in Superbike: TEAM Alstare.

So this also implies that there will be another Suzuki team. This sort of makes sense. MotoGP needs more grids filled, and I know that there are some top level Superbike teams itching to get into MotoGP. With a big name like Biaggi, and then a promising up and comer like Spies (and really he's the best Suzuki prospect in the world, as far as I can tell), this seems to make some sense.

I would love to see Batta in MotoGP, given that he gets equal bikes to the Rizla team. So far Honda seems like the only ones who give really good parts to the satellite teams.

I'd think Suzuki would want Spies to test the bike first before making an announcement though. He hasn't even ridden a MotoGP bike.

Ahh, this makes even more sense then.

Ducati is doing pretty well in Superstock with the 1098. Seems like maybe they should try that before going to 1200.

Kawasaki probably will provide motor bikes to a second team the next year, it would be thus logical that Suzuki makes in the same way.

With Spies' outright fear of flying I don't think he will race an international series. My guess is he'll stay here in the US throughout his career. I would expect Biaggi to be back in GP's next year. If Barros made it back, i'm sure Biaggi will be back.

I don't see how Biaggi can get a MotoGP ride next year. There are plenty of better riders than him out there right now and he is not even doing so well in World Superbike. He should doominate World Superbike before moving back up in the ranks.

As for Ben, he should get over that flying problem quick because that kid has some serious talent. If he does move up, he would a good be a serious threat on a good machine. That would be a cool if he teamed up with Hopkins. Both are Hungry!
