2014 Island Classic, Phillip Island, Australia

The Island Classic is an international event for pre 1990 motorcycles conducted at Phillip Island, Australia. This year the event attracted over 350 riders with just under 500 bikes. Included as part of the schedule is the International Challenge which this year featured teams from the USA, UK, New Zealand and Australia with quite a few elite riders participating. These included Cam Donald (Isle of Man winner), Steve Martin (WSB), Ryan Farquhar, John McGuinness & Jeremy Mc Williams.

Whilst most of the bikes competeing are British or Japanese there are a few Italians present. This year I managed to obtain a media pass allowing access to the restricted areas of the circuit where I attempted to photograph the Italian race bikes along with a couple of the international challenge racers.

Awesome Russ, thanks for sharing this, one of my friends was out there also, Gordon Haywood from Flashpixx https://www.facebook.com/flashpixx.m...rt.photography .
I copied your post into the Race section, some guys never look in the classic section, not knowing how much they miss out on. Gordon sent me a great picture of the CBX going around also. Just a bit worried about the number though.

It's a small world. I was chatting to Gordon when we were both at Siberia, Saturday morning I think. I had the red MV Agusta hat on.
