I don't like his luck. All the Yammies are losing around half a second in sector 4. The KTM passed him (Rossi) with no draft down the straight. Espargo said it was alittle embarrassing.

Quarto is smoking.

Really stupid Q1 for Rinns and Rossi. Great job by Dovi.

Great qualy speed by Quarto I'm fast becoming a fan . No draft, for his time. It was all solo. How is he so fast and SO neat ON THE YAMAHA? The guy hasn't had a single crash since getting on a Moto GP bike.
Great race craft by Marquez to use Dovi to get pole.

I'm backing Quarto for the win.

Wow....Dovi plays the tug boat and pulls Marquez to poll position....... Really sorry Quatro didn't get his deserved poll. He didn't have any tow like MM93 did.

So, what is Rossi's probem? teammate and satellite Yamahas were fast.???

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

ok so marq got pole.
another question,
i love the enthusiasm of the commentators goin berzec on someone getting a pole, then the team
like they go ape shite

who freakn cares
is it stats? or ?

cos the reality of it, it means absolutely nothing, race day is race day, 20million things can happen for a pole rider, bike can stall, bad start, rolls start-penalised, how many times have we seen riders in 3, 4 even 5 or 8th win the race, and pole rider not win fall or whatever

i understand that every little bit helps but like again it can (it can) mean jack
also, have a look at Rossi, always been a race day person, many many many times qualified crap and then wins
so again who cares

it really baffles me
would really like some info on this please

Glenno I think the yamahas are down on power and Rossis Yamaha is Mollassis slow.No one knows why his particular Yamaha is slower than other Yamahas. Quatararo might have the unique style of Marquez. He is carrying ALOT of speed into the corners and also squaring off corners . I wish the cameras would back off a bit to take in entire corner. Announcers talking about Ducati getting Rabat next year. DUCATI NEEDS A RIDER THEY SHOULD GO FOR QUARTARO. Dovi said the Ducati needs something . Yes a faster rider lol

if I was Quartararos manager I would go with Ducati. Not only being the best bike but Quartararo would be the center of Ducatis MotoGP program.

KTM ..WOW have they found power P.Espargro did a 1:46.2 2nd place in 3rd practice The Ducati did 224 trap speed 8 mph over Hondas 216mph and I wouldn't be surprised if KTM trap speed equals Honda. Yamaha??? to embarraced to list LOL

They say Yamaha is desperate to keep Quartararo. That being said I wonder if Petronas is getting new engine parts First? Would love to compare Petronas Yamahas and Monster Yamahas trap speeds.

Quarto does not ride like Marquez.

1. He doesn't crash every weekend
2. He doesn't ride off the inside of the tire in practice and qualy to find the limit.
3. He is a much neater style.

Ducati would be really bad for Quarto. He should stick with Yamaha, maybe Honda if they are looking to the future. Or Suzuki if they start making big gains. If Yamaha let him go they are nuts. I have watched Rossi from the days of his 1st 125 WC. He has massively changed the sport in a good way and in some part as all figureheads are responsible for the generation we are seeing now. So with all that. This is the first time I can say maybe we are seeing his last semi competitive season. I don't remember him qualifying so poorly so often. Quarto may end the big mans career.

You keep saying Ducati is the best bike. Honda is. It was down on power last year. That was its weakness. That is not a problem now. Honda and Ducati are almost equal on power now but Hondas mid corner speed is higher. Yeh they made the Honda too stiff to suit marquez riding style, but look what Crutchlow can do on it.

The Yamaha factory team are up on acceleration compared to Pertronas. Morbidelli was saying that a month ago. Which makes what Quarto is doing all the more amazing.
