Switch over to watch recorded SB races, and the difference in tracks was hugely evident, Assen is one of the best motorcycle racing tracks the world over, always close racing, but Bautista is a cut above the SB pack. great race for 2nd to 10th.
Dave, as some of us haven't had a chance to watch the SB races yet....please refrain from putting spoiler in a thread that is about MotoGP at COTA. It ruins the suspense for those who have not seen the other races yet.

As long as Honda has marquez they will be in the winners cirle. Marquez is the fastest rider in Motorcycle road racing history ..I would love to see Marquez on the Ducati as it is the best bike in MotoGP.The combination would be practically unbeatable.

Mate, The Honda is a great package. It is better in the corners than the Duke and is often as fast if not faster on the straights now. Just look at the top speeds this year. If it wasn't for the Duke's HP advantage they would not be competitive. If Honda has any issue in the corners it is as a result of them stiffening up the front end so much to deal with Marquez corner entry style. Pretty sure Stoner warned them of this.

If Marquez goes anywhere in the future it will be back to KTM.

"Marquez is the fastest rider in Motorcycle road racing history" Yep. Each generation builds on the next.

I never could figure out the MV livery, or bikes-- can't read numbers from stands. Someone clue me in please. Saw them listed in the Moto2 guide though.

Visited Monkey-Moto (Dallas MV dealer) and impressed with their welcome. They affirmed that they will honor MV warranty on my Dragster RR if something goes wrong.

Yeah, it is a bumpy track, but that is part of the game in my opinion. No injuries, clean race. The penalty starts surprised me: rookie errors.

Good time as always.
Turn 18 is pretty dangerous man. When it is throwing Moto 3 riders like popcorn it is a problem. I loved the commentator. Turn 18 has a speed bump in it, a sleeping policeman in that corner. They need to fix that if we are to come back.

Apart from the bumps it is a fantastic looking course. The elevation changes and flowing lines. Reminds me a bit of Phillip Island where elevation changes make it. And corners like Siberia where all you can see going into it are a concrete barrier and the ocean beyond. Makes you think you could fall off the face of the earth if you miss the corner.

T1 at the Americas looks like an aircraft carrier ramp
