Zanetti Disqualified at Imola for Illegal Engine

Lorenzo Zanetti's F3 was found to have illegal engine parts in Imola at tech inspection resulting in disqualification. The engine had illegal cylinder head, crankshaft, gears, and electronics. MV has not appealed yet.

Now that is a bit a silly question or what
I think that virtually everything could be illegal if you want to!

What a beast of a motorcycle!
It growls and rages and flies across the tarmac like a wild animal that has escaped the confinement of a cage and after merely waiting restlessly until the release, will not endure being locked up ever again.

Well yeah but this means that MV/forward racing are systematically breaking the rules on an industrial scale. Did they not think they'd get caught?

I'm guessing the items were blueprinted. Prob for reliability. Ish.

No mention of Cluzels bike? Or did they get it in the truck before it could be inspected?

You can't hide it Jono, the motors are sealed, if they pick your number they will check no matter what. It doesn't take much to break the new rules. Who knows, factory engineering mistake, parts mixup ?
The worry is that this work was probably done during the weekend.
