Thumbs up Racing Legends : Sheene... Chris, Noel and Brian...you guys will enjoy this..

.

Tonight on BBC2 at 9pm a new series about Racing Legends. (28th Dec).

This first program of three is about double World motorcycle champion Barry Sheene... His life story is told by Vic Reeves and he gets to ride Sheene's bikes !

If you haven't seen this BBC series before, its worth a look in..

I'm not sure if you can get BBC TV world wide, but if not, then try and check it out on the net.

J

I'll definitely be sat watching it, with a Guinness in my hand. I always followed Sheene when he was racing.

Just watched it. Really good program, although Vic Reeves didn't do the RG500 justice!!

I think he probably had the thought 'I hope to feck I don't fall off it' because I would. Wonder how Ade would have ridden it?

He is my all time hero. What he did off his own back when he was racing was absolutely amazing.

It was an alright documentary, although I thought there was a bit to much focus on Vic Reeves in certain parts..

I don't blame Reeves for tip toeing round that track on what is basically a priceless RG500 .. It was a nice gesture of the Sheene family to have the bike shipped over and allowed to be ridden at that event..

It was great to see how much King Kenny had respect and effection for Sheene..

One thing King Kenny regrets is that Sheene isn't around today to enjoy the classic bike circus which tours around the World and gathers together all the past masters at some of the best iconic race circuits. Dam same !!

I see Read was modest as usual.

Brian... I suspect this series will run on every Sunday until it finishes.

Series1 was also three parts and covered Racing Legends Sir Stirling Moss, Sir Jackie Stewart and Colin McRae..

Here is a web link for this series and an extra interview with Reeves and Mick Grant.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02dxy81 ( notice the MV leathers in the back of the tent)..

Did you also notice that Sheene was wearing is hero's T Shirt..

Gary Nixon ... Every biker should have a Nixon No9 T shirt in their wardrobe
