Moto GP (spoiler)

I'm sorry to have to say this, Moto GP at the moment is more boring than F1, it's just a procession, no dicing, hardly any overtaking, it's just zzzzzzzzzzzzz,
Congratualtions to Casey and Ducati, they have got this season sewn up in no uncertain manner, nice to see the small Italian factory putting one over Honda and Yamaha etc, but they need to do something for next year, wheather it's a free for all on the tyres, or a control tyre, one make tyre etc I don't know, all I know is at the moment watching paint dry is a viable option for the weekend excitement

(This reply has not been checked for punctuation, grammar, or spelling mistakes and is devoid of any big long cleverwords or condescending manner)

MV's all gone now, still have a soft spot for MV's, waiting for MV to tick all my boxes again.

Smile

I know what you mean Mike, it's always boring when someone zooms off into the distance. Close dicing is far more entertaining, like Rossi's battles with Gibernau a couple of seasons back. It's great to see a new name at the top even though I do like Rossi. Stoner is a bit too nice for his own good at the mo, he's a clean living lad, newly married, interviews well etc. etc. good, but a bit boring!! A bit like Hamilton in F1, he needs to get a bit more down and dirty perhaps he should try slagging off one or more of his rivals, like Fogarty used to do. Just my opinion of course but there's no getting away from the fact he (Stoner) has deserved his success this year and I hope he goes on to win it now. Just stay on the black stuff Casey for the last few races.

Thumbs up

Just remeber one thing guys, this is the pinnacle of racing.
These guys dont need to take unecessary risks, they get paid more than us mere mortals, they have celebrity status and every woman wants one.
Its the gutsy local BSB ,ASB and AMA where the guys get down and dirty, still it would be nice to see the battles up front in MotoGP.
Do you watch the 125 and 250s,thats good racing!

I'm just a proud Aussie who doesn't want to see our national treasure getting hurt. Ride on king Casey!

True this year has been boring, and you know if you like bikes and racing and it is boring it is really boring for everyone else.

I think a lot of it is the fact that it is the 1st year with the smaller bikes. hopefully next year the bikes will be a lot closer and we will see some better fights. congrats to hopper tho, great finish this past weekend!

Cure: Watch BSB or WSB. Those are great, closely battled series.

As for MotoGP, I think Ducati has a serious advantage right now, and I'm not really sure that the others are going to catch up.

It's funny that Pedrosa was holding off on signing with Honda for fear that the bike is not going to be competitive. Ok, so if Honda isn't competitive, who is? You could argue Suzuki is AS competitive as Honda on some weekends. Yamaha is only good because of Rossi at the moment. Edwards puts in good performances once in a while, but you can't say he's on par with the Hondas or Suzukis.

Unless the other factories get their acts together, we're going to see a lot more of what we're seeing now as far as I can tell.

I seriously doubt that Melandri is going to challenge Stoner, but who knows? I think that Ducati was silly to sign him, it's obvious to me that they need someone like Pedrosa, Rossi, Hopkins, something like that. Melandri WAS good at times, but I think he needs to prove himself again to be considered a top tier rider.

Toseland will be interesting to watch, but it's practically guaranteed that he's going to fade into the background like everyone else who isn't on a top tier bike.
