Iíve heard of it but when I tried it last yr there wasnít any cops floating around in South Florida of all places so I donít think enough people use it for it to be worth while here at least

I use Waze all the time in my car....will have to check it out.

For those doing commuting, I understand it may bring something, but not sure how much you can interact with the phone to warn others like you can do within a car...

I usually use Waze for my ride to work and it's pretty good. Had to switch from Google Maps as I couldn't figure out how to stop Google Maps re-routing me away from twisties (to stay on your current route, select OK - ARGH!).
