What boots do you wear

Currently I have a pair of Sidi Vertigo Air. Nice and cool when it's warm.
I need something for those not so warm days.

Before I plunk down $250 for the non air version, anyone want to offer a recommendation?

I have the regular Sidi Vertigo for track days...I have a pair of Alpinestar SMX-4 that I wear for everyday rides...I also have a pair of Nitro cheepies that are great for walking in.....and a pair of vintage 1979 Trim racing boots that I wear when I go to Daytona Bike Week.

I think the Alpinstars are a good choice for everyday wear.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

Alpinestar SMX (one down from the top of the line R). I found the R boot to be a bit bulky with the insert and the SMX just felt a bit better. It has really nice adjustments and looks to offer good protection, although they do squeak which I understand is a problem with the sidis as well.

Wouldn't it be better if they fit like a boot?
