helmet size maybe wrong

Hi,
I use an AGV K5 S helmet in ML size. The circumference of the head (taken in this way http://store.momodesign.com/Contents...lmet-sizes.png ) is 56.5cm.
When I went to the shop to buy the helmet I felt the size MS (right for head circumference of 57cm) but I noticed a compression at the top of the head and then the shop manager advised me the size ML (right for circumference of head of 58cm).
I am using the helmet for several months but i noticed two things:
1) The housing for the intercom speakers does not coincide with my ears (so I had to position them lower than the helmet housings)
2) When I'm on the read the helmet slides down slightly and when I'm in the hull I see the road through the top of the visor.

In your opinion, regardless of the size talk (why it can depend on the shape of my head and so the ML size is perhaps correct) those two things I notice you feel normal?

If your helmet is sliding around it is too big.
Ear pockets for speakers differ from manufacturer to manufacturer.
Head shape must be taken into considerations when fitting a helmet.
Padding can be adjusted on a properly sized helmet for comfort.

Is your head round, oval, or intermediate?

My head is intermediate.
Honestly my doubt on the size of MS (the smaller one compared to the ML that I have) is related to the pressure on the top of the head. Is it normal to notice it with a new helmet ever used?

Pressure on the top of the head is a padding issue.
Pressure around the circumference of the head is a size issue.

New helmets should fit snugly. There will be a break in period.

But can the problem on the top of the head be solved simply by using the helmet?

Sometimes, yes. It depends on your head and the helmet padding.

Good information. I currently use a Shoei RF1200, in size small. I had been using a Bell RS-1 in size XS, which they stopped making. The new Bell helmet did fit okay but did not have pockets for speakers. I then went with the Shoei, but their size XS was too tight so I went with the size S. The Bell shape was better for my head size, but the Shoei is not overly big and when I use a tape measure it is sized correctly. After watching this video perhaps the Shoei XS would have fitted better with different cheek pads.

Bottom line is shape can play a significant roll with proper fit and comfort.

I have a large crown which makes helmet choice a challenge. You might have the same problem which usually means "round" shaped helmets may feel tight at the front. I've found Shoei, Arai and XLite to fit well
