Backpacks, Dragsters and You

Hey All,

I rode my Dragster on two 8-hour (round trip) journeys last Summer. One was a long weekend to Milwaukee/Racine and another a week to Minocqua, WI (packed for a half-week since I had easy access to laundry facilities). I'm never a fan of ugling up my bikes at any point with "luggage." Besides, it's mostly a pain in the ass getting on and off and frankly, I like the feeling of being as bare-bones as I can be when riding. Plus, not so much surface on the Dragster. I did a lot of research and chose a Kriega R25 backpack which holds a good amount of crap I need to bring with me. The harness is comfortable once you get the adjustments right (though it's kinda funky with boobage) and I honestly didn't really notice it while riding. It's pretty low-profile too. Even laying down on the tank in a lengthy, windy straight I don't recall it pulling. No backache or shoulder pain.

Anyway, I just wanted to pass that bit on and wondered if anyone has another brand/style of backpack they love for long trips...I'm always on the lookout for better!

So the largest size Kriega is good too. Good to know. Thanks!

I, also, am no fan of ugling!

I use the OGIO Mach 5 No Drag every weekday. It's real comfortable and doesnt bother me at high speeds

I know that Emma would just buck off any luggage I put on her. There's no way she would tolerate the ugliness. Good to know there is a backpack out their that is comfortable. I'll have to look into one.

Ever forgot to do up the waist strap?

Scares the shit out of you when you suddenly and very randomly feel a tug on your back!

I now subconsciously check that it's around my waist during my ride in a very OCD style
