Helmet Visors

Im looking at purchasing a tinted visor for my helmet but it is coming from overseas and it wont have any "standards" sticker on it.

My question is has anyone ever been pulled over or fined in relation to a visor without the appropriate sticers?

My helmet is new and meets all Australian standards.

Hi,
Just bought a AGV carbon helmet from Italy on line, has no AS sticker but really doesn't bother me, it has all the euro compliance accreditation
Never heard of anyone being pulled for this particularly when speeding infringement is such an easier way of revenue collection!!

Visors don't have "standards" stickers on them, only helmets do.

And yes you can still get fined in some states in Australia for wearing a "non" Australian standards helmet, despite it being nothing but a revenue source for local Governments. It's been on the new, in the motorcycle magazines and mention on here many times augusta01

Just had a look at my helmet and the visor does have a small red 'certified product' sticker on it with the 'ticks'.

Legislation is changing or has changed regarding helmets in Australia. I don't know if it has been accepted in all states and no doubt there will be confusion amongst our revenue raisers (police) but I believe it is now possible to import a helmet and wear it legally without the AS (Australian Standards) sticker.

Helmet Laws in Oz

A quiet night at work so I've done a little research

Some useful advice at the link, relatively recent but as the writer states, things are changing all the time and some of the States that don't allow European standards helmets may have since changed their legislation.

The european standard is now accepted in all states of Australia, and there is a standards requirement for visors.
Try this one, it's a bit more current:

We're all here, but we're not all there.
