Is anyone finding the Arai RX7 Corsair more prone to stone chips than other helmets?

My brother has the Colin White version of the RX7 Corsair and is finding it extremely prone to stone chips. He's wondering if there is a defect in the paint on it as he has a few helmets which are a few years old with lots of use and less stone chips than this 2 month old Corsair? Thanks in advance.

He does ride in a group but less so than he did before. This lid seems much less chip resistant than others, including other Arai helmets he has or has had in the past.

Don't know about the chips, but it got a CRAP rating on the SHARPS test.

My white Arai also has some stone chips. I've been thinking of looking for some touch-up paint. Don't recall getting chips like this in my Shoeis.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

I have an ARAI RX7 painted by Seb Nore who works with ALKATRAXX and before I took it out I got one of these http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33LKmQAXyMc, it's a bit fiddly to fit but persevere and you'll get it, works a treat !

Brutale,you gotta love it

He picked up another 2 chips on it today. I told him to get the Venture Shield but wasn't available here in UK last month. It doesn't cover all the lid anyway and would still have chips on it where there would be no shielding.
