Piece of art for some maybe?

As a bike helmet... wind noise would be hideous and it's primary purpose null and void as it would probably grip and break your neck if your noggin hit the deck at any half way reasonable speed.

I do believe that helmet belongs to a member here...and she rides quite well.

It'd be almost useless in a crash. The lack of a smooth surface would grip things and not do your neck any favours. The spikey projections would also concentrate the impact force on small locations thus compromising the integrity of the shell and ultimately the skull underneath.

On a plus side, you'd likely be dead in a serious off so you wouldn't have to explain anything to the medical personnel arriving at the scene.....

For helmets the priority should be 1) safety 2) performance 3) style.
