Comfort seats

Hey peeps, has anyone here tried/bought the comfort seats? My girlfriend is not happy with the passenger seat (who thought that hard plastic at the front was a good idea?) so, I'm considering buying one or both comfort seats.

Haven't tried them, but fwiw my wife actually finds the seat on the TV more comfortable than the "comfort" seat on the Triumph so it could be worse (yeah, that probably won't help her ;-) ). You could try a sheepskin (http://alaskaleather.com) - cheaper alternative.

I have both rider and pillion seats on order. I find the standard seat is a bit slippy! Nothing wrong comfort wise with the standard seat for me.

The dealer had a rider seat in last time I was there which was for a customer. It looks nice on the bike, not sure how much more comfortable it will be though until I try it.

I am at the dealer Friday so will see if they have any news from MV

I have both the rider and passenger comfort seat and while the standard seat is quite comfortable, the comfort seat is even better. I haven't had a pillion on the back yet so can't comment on it's comfort, however it certainly looks a lot more comfortable than the original seat.

I bought the one for the Rivale, and had an auto upholstery company mount it with new foam. Love it. Now that terrible ledge in the middle is gone. GREAT quality.

Do something today that your future self will thank you for.

Hi Steve, the riders seat is the same profile as the original seat. The pillion seat still has a hump but it is a lower profile and is softer than the original.

Hi Roy, I find the standard seat really comfortable, but it is a little slippy, so had been considering the comfort seat. I very rarely carry a pillion, so don't want to change both seats. My concern is whether the materials would clash if I had the standar pillion pad with the comfort rider seat. Doi you think that combination looks OK?

Had been thinking the same, if the comfort seat is less slippery than the standard one. However, might go for the pillion seat as well just to maintain the look otherwise it would always be 'needling' me whenever I look at the bike. Also the reduced softer bump would be preferable. How durable and rain resistant is the suede looking material?
