Helmet Security???

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find a way to secure my helmet to my bike for when i am away from it.

The option i have found is the following from Sato Racing:

I have a 2013 F3 800.

If anyone knows of any other options that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I just carry a lock strap under the seat, you can get 2 helmets on it through the fork etc

I keep a ski cable lock under the seat. You can get them at any big outdoors or camping store:

Then I just loop it from under the subframe bar, through the chin bar of the helmet and back. Close the seat and then set the helmet on the seat. Also has the effect of deterring a "test sit."

Personally I'd just carry it. All the bolts in the world won't stop someone pissing in it....

Jesus Troz Canberra must have gone down hill.............

Not that I'd expect anyone to piss in it, but I never leave my helmet unattended.

I've heard of that outside a pub but not sure how true it is.
I've always left my plain mid range lids with the bike but if I had something extra special I might take it with me.

Personally, I would never again use a lock that fastens to the buckle... Years ago I had a Shoei stolen from the bike, the vandals cut the strap off... God knows what use it was to anyone then!!

Now, if I leave it I would always loop a cable round the chin-piece and through the visor slot.

Happened to a mate of mine about 12 years back who parked in an alley out of the way. I suspect the alley was used by the odd drunk to relieve themselves given then lack of accessible public toilets - back then at least - at 'o'god o'clock' in the morning when you're too drunk to get back into a bar. Someone obviously thought it'd be funny....
