bluetooth

Is anyone using a Bluetooth headset? I need a phone connection for my other bike activities.

I don't like them but last week it became obvious that it is a necessity.

Pam and I use the U-Clear Bluetooth headsets for an intercom. I've used it with the phone once, but you can't be traveling at speed if you do. I generally don't pair my phone to it.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

I saw those on a revzilla review, Is that the one without the mic'?

I just need to hear when I receive a call so I don't get a call after I have gone home.

Yes, U-Clear doesn't use a mic.....they work very well, but I can't hear much over 50 mph....doesn't help that I wear ear plugs. At slower speeds or at a stop they're great.
And the phone connection was good when I used it......sitting still.

I have the Sena 20S and really like it. Communication is easy and clear for both phone and intercoms. My wife can't tell I'm on the bike when I'm traveling 80mph on the highway and talking to her. It cuts wind noise that well.

I've got a Scala G9 and its decent for phone conversation. Its a bit of a pain to hook to Shoei helmets though, probably why the company made a Shoei specific model. It's definitely not perfect, but decent.

Speed is relative, but fast is fast.

The dial system on the new sena is apparently very good, AGV make a good system but it only links two 2 devises.

You can't go wrong with any of the new Sena or Scala units. They can multilink and are extremely good at reducing background noise etc.

For a less expensive option you can try the Aldi headset (do they have Aldi in the UK?) that has also received some good reviews for a budget set.

I have the Sena SMH-10R and absolutely love it. Phone part works awesome (obviously all the other end hears on the highway is wind, but works perfect in the city), music features through your phone work perfect, and it's a super slim design unlike the other ones out there. The speakers go more than loud enough, even at highway speeds I don't have it full volume, but they do sound quite tinny. If it bothers you that much, there are upgrades available.
