Charger plug for navigation

Gents,

I did a forum search but could not find any info.
Is it possible to connect the charger plug under the seat of my Dragster with a navigation system?

The plug has 12+V on it but I don't know if it gives any troubles with fuses...

And does somebody know where to get the female part for this plug? Or it's official name so I could google it.

Thnx !

I've believe that they are known as Superseal connectors. Do a search on eBay and you should find some.

That's correct, this plug isn't fused and switched.
I'll fuse it myself if the navi isn't.

Thnx for the tip

Thumbs up ?

Joost;
for small things I use the parking light circuit

that way I can't forget to turn the device off

Thanks for the tip Noel, the Dragster isn't equiped with a parking light as far as I know...
I also thought about the brake-light, but this charger plug will do fine I think.
The navi wire has a fuse so that problem is solved.

Only thing I need next is a little time to install all of this....

Cheers,

Joost

Like Noel, I also used the parking light circuit to power my Valentine1 (Hardwired configuration - yes radar detectors are not illegal in NZ).

Most car-audio shops can build you a 12v cable with the appropriate connector (including a fused wire if required).

...or you can wire it yourself ?

I had then build multiple as I've found them usual across a number of bikes. I usually access the circuit behind the headlight cover.

Cheers
