Are all petrol (gas) caps the same?

Is there any difference between models and years?

I want to get a Givi tank lock bag and need to make sure I buy the right mount.

Now if you told us which models you where referring to, then we might be able to help.
All first gen F4 and B4 fuel caps are the same for starters.

Hawk, yes, there is a difference. Buy model/year specific.

Apologies for not providing more info.

I have (or rather am getting - there's been a delay ) a 2015 F4. The only fitting kit listed is for an F4 - is the bolt spacing the same for these?

Thanks in advance for any help

If you are asking is the bolt spacing the same from 2002 to current, I am sure the answer is no.
My F4 bikes are all first gen, so I can't look at a post 2010 version.

Pretty sure the 2014 and 2015 would the same........cost of manufacture and supply chain push the designers into using common parts or designs wherever possible. Fuel caps are an example of a part that is not normally unique from one model to another (other than surface finish, cosmetic detail).

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

Ask a dealer to look at parts catalog.....does StarTwin have 2015 catalog on their site yet? Look yourself. Same PN, same parts.

Probably just a cosmetic detail difference. I can't believe they would change a fundamental design part that impacts other base parts (fuel tank...before paint). That would be a major production expense.
If the basic fuel tank shape is the same (I'll bet it is, just new colors) the cap will be also.
