MV Agusta Tour - Italy - fast-travel.ch

Greetings from Southeast Italy. I've found a vague internet connection out here. Pretty bad, but I'll try to upload some pics at some point for the ride so far.

We left Friday for Naples from Zurich. Arrival day was down the Almafi coast for a couple hundred km. Bad construction on the highway meant we got in quite late to the hotel. The next morning, out through the toe (i think). tons of twisties. Sunday was more of the same, lots of twisties, great weather. Good food, wine, etc.!!

But for now, I'm going to go to the pool be back later.

I'm getting around on a rented 910S. Everyone is on Brutales this trip actually. Don't think you'd really want to do it on an F4, tons of hairpins and really tight stuff. That, and 10 days on an F4 isn't so appealing. haha...but maybe next year.....

Day 0/1/2

So I'm ready to head off. Taking the bike to the airport....for those of you that know Narita, it's really far, and this being the first day of Golden Week, traffic will be bad (and i don't have a car and the taxi is about 300 dollars and don't want to take the train.....)

Day 1 is in Zurich, mostly just dinner. Day 2 we fly to Naples....there we get our rides.

Bikes are unloaded and checked. martin and steve seen here.

One guy on a KTM, since that is his van in the back that we use. hannes the driver here as well.

Here's my ride. Looks a lot like the one i've got at home.

After getting out of the Naples area, we head south down the Almafi coast....oh man, what traffic....I'd hate to see what high season is like.

Stayed at a hotel somewhere..... bikes just parked up on the cobblestone.

more to come.....

Day 3

Today we head down toward the toe of Italy, to San Giovanni in Fiore.

Stopping here by a lake....

Me, Steve, Markus, Chris....

Chris, Martin, Steve taking a break.

We got a lot of attention here in the south. These two guys in the fiat hung out at the gas station with us and chased us down for a while to the end of town.

Plenty of cigars on this trip.....yeee ha.

Day 4

Day 4 we headed back up north a bit, tons of twisties, going to Senise on some lake. One of these days I'll find good pics of where we are.

Anyway......

look up!

You can see some of the road on this one....

Bikes got pretty filthy after getting rained on for a few minutes the other day.

Eventually got to the hotel in time for dinner.....
