Barber motorsports park end of September!

I'm going down to Barber sept. 30,- Oct. 1st for 2 open NESBA trackdays. Brute will be on the track both days.

It would be nice to see some other MV's out there and meet some members.
I'm staying an extra day just for the world class bikes at the museum.

Come on folks, lets try to get something going!

REO? TC???

I know nothing about NESBA days, is it 195 for the 30th and 195 for the 1st?

I have another MV friend interested in meeting and checking with my local friends/schedule tonight.

I have never been to Barber so I signed up for beginner. (probably the safer bet)

If the CR's (course runners) see that you are in the wrong group ability wise, they have the option to bump you up, or down a class.

John,

I am about to email you. I heard back from a friend who I've ridden with at the GAP (and a nesba member who rides Barber, also a club racer) that I would be very frustrated in the group with openings left. Would you consider rescheduling to a time when we could all at least get into Intermediate? It will also be my first time on Barber but from what I was told I would be exceptionally unhappy with their arrangements in beginner?

We were all set to go but we'll have to reschedule given his input. Is another date doable for you? I would really like to meet and have some fun on the track but I think this may be off balance?

Hmm, The only other dates NESBA will be there is Oct 11.

Some local friends talked me into these dates and I registered with NESBA just for this. Maybe we can be put on a bump up list or talk to the CR's when we get there? I have a message on the NESBA board asking about how they bump up.

There are ways around being in a slow group. Grease the palms of the CR's for some hot laps!!!

One way to upgrade in NESBA (worked well in my case) is to ride the control riders tail off and push him (you have to start your group right behind a control rider). As he go faster to keep you moving, eventually you guys will be separated from the rest of the group. At which point he will use a hand signal to let you go through to catch the next group in front in order to lead the group that you guys were in who were just dropped. Now, you'll have fun chasing after the next group. After your session, talk to the control rider and upgrade.

Or, if they have room in the next level's group during registration, ask to be upgraded before the tech spec. If they feel you don't belong there after the first session or two, they'll let you know. They are actually good people to work with. I used to love being in between groups and try to bridge the gap by myself. ...now I try to hang on for dear life!!!

....shay hullo to my lille friend
