Will any members be attending the IMS in New York City this month?

Sometimes it does. Sometimes it doesn’t. I’m sure you can find their website and see who will be there.

Yes. One year Honda was conspicuous in their absence. Everyone noticed.

It was a much bigger show back before the economic collapse, but the difference was lots of little vendors. The OEMS always came, but the mom and pop vendors couldn't justify the expense and many dropped out, never to return.

Some of the OEMs (like BMW) are represented by local dealers, but Indian, HD, and the Japs all come.

This will be the first year since 2003 that I probably won't be going to at least one IMS.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

I have never seen any Piaggio companies (Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Vespa) at the show in NYC, which is odd considering their North American Headquarters is about a mile away.
The last few times I went the show was smaller and smaller each time, so I skipped it last year.
I did meet Bryan Case there one year (Motus Motors).

It's a nice walk from my apt so I have no reason to miss it. I've actually enjoyed the custom bikes the last few years more than the manufacturers. Here are some pics from last year.

2005 F4 Tamboweenie
2005 F4 1000S
1999 Aprilia RS50

They use local dealers for the IMS...if there is not a local dealer interested in displaying there won't be one. They had bikes at DC last year.
