Robert White Collection : Bonhams London

.

I'm going to view this collection this coming Monday 15th Sept and if anyone wants to join me, you're welcome.. Bonhams have sent me an invite and I have a few spare guest tickets.

Here's a link to the Bonhams preview. http://www.bonhams.com/video/22347/

I'm going in by London underground from Woodside Park to New Bond Street.

Wow, that video shows a great collection. I presume it's just a preview and your cheque book will be safely tucked away at home? Great cause too. Enjoy your visit.

I'm not sure Donsy.

I'm going smart casual, as the viewing is at Bonhams head office in London.. I don't know if taking pictures of the auction pieces is the right etiquette, as we will be guided round by one of Bonhams representatives..

I'll take a camera just in case and if I see others taking pictures, then I'll join in.

Class evening out..

The 'HIBOU' glass mascot by Lalique made 47,500.. A round of applause was given to the buyer..

My mate bought a couple of BONNIKSEN speedo's, as he has a Brough Superior and a Matchless JAP to restore...

The Vincent went for 20K over what I wanted to pay... So that's that.

The 1968 MV 750S went cheap.. Well I thought so !

Don't get me started on the 1976 Ducati NCR replica.. Cheap as chips!!!!

I was stopped by my mates on bidding on the 1956 GILERA Saturo Cross.. It only went for 12K... We didn't talk much on the way home.

That's correct Chris, it's all going to a superb cause.

We've done a similar thing.

As we don't have any dependents, our complete property portfolio, bike collection and any monetary matters ALL goes to 5 charities when we've both kicked the bucket.

The Royal Veterinary Hospital in Potters Bar, Dog's Trust in Harefield, Cancer UK, The Multiple Sclerosis Society in Edgware and Addenbrooke's Kidney Transplant Unit Cambridge.

Any pets left behind will have an annual stipendiary to be homed together and cared for. We feel that the above are worthy causes and we have no problem leaving them our possessions to use as they wish to provide services for those in need.
