Miller Motorsports Park

I just watched the AMA race from MMP. WOW! What a cool track!

Let's ride it. Serioulsy!

There is a track day at MMP in September (9/4/06) run by APEX Trackdays. It's the full track (AMA course). This is considered the BEST track in the USA right now. Alan Wilson designed (he did Barber as well). It's wide, fast (3500' straight!), and has lots of run-off room.

It's located near Salt Lake City.

I'd like to see how much interest there is in this.

Personally, I'll be driving from So. Cal. (Irvine), and I would have room in my truck for another bike (plus gear).

it's not close - 700 miles. drive right through vegas.

it would require a few days off. mabye 2.

it's on a monday. we could do the event, stay local on monday night, then drive back tuesday.

just one idea...

I will check on that. I'm suppose to be going to the Bonneville Salt Flats for the motorcycle land speed races. I would much rather goto Miller and ride. I'll see what I can do and get back to you.

Personality is what you show of yourself daily.

Character is what comes out under adversity. (Think about that)

While the West Loop is not as technical as the East Loop, it's still great fun. Very fast and flowing.

what about the ama layout? how's that compare to, say, lvms? or pahrump?

derek - it'd be great to have you there. let's get a bunch of mv riders and make it a mvagusta.net track day!

Uh, it just doesn't. MMP has a better flow than SMMP and more technical than LVMS Classic or AMA layout. It also has the grippiest surface I have been to, thus far. So much that I was dragging knee-sliders in the rain.
