WOW - No replies?

We are looking to firm up things in the next couple of weeks (and there is some very cool MV-focused things that have been discussed), but the basic idea is that the trip would include accommodation and you could choose between General Admission (3 day GA tickets) or Club Superbike tickets (3-Day Pit Roof VIP Hospitality). Cost of flights are excluded - you would need to sort this yourself.

Keep an eye out here for more details soon!

I wanna go!! Afraid the airfare is a bit beyond my budget right now, but I would love to hang out with Kiwi MV folks at Phillip Island!
Maybe if I win the lottery (must but tickets first!)

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

SBK at the island doesn't really compare to the GP......
But the track day is an ABSALUTE must

Hey Terry, interested why you think that? - I've done the GP at PI (yes awesome) ...but why doesn't SBK stack-up ?

Cheers

The racing is ok but the atmosphere around the track and in cowes is just lacking, it was better when bayliss was riding but still no GP.
We usually stay in trackside campground so atmosphere can make or brake the trip
I'm not saying don't go, just don't expect the GP experience

Edit: for those who have never been Cowes is the closest town to PI circuit

Cheers

Oh yeah - Cowes is definitely on the backwater.

We've hired houses in the past so the parties generally been based at home vs. around the Island.

...but take your point.

I've only done the SBK in Assen (yes Bayliss was racing then) and really enjoyed the vibe...but we did ride in on Sunday morning and out again Sunday PM.

cheers

An update with details of the Philip Island NZMV WSBK Experience February 2017

This will be a great weekend! Cruiser and I are 100% confirmed and would love to catch up with any other forum owners from AU.

I might be keen, I went to motogp in 2011(lorenzo lost part of his finger and it was simoncellis last race) at phillip island and it was awesome.
me and two friends hired a camper van from Melbourne for 5 days and stayed at the track campground, this was by far the cheapest accommodation,no bus trips and it goes off at night time at the campground.
