Hey Moomba, interesting name.... any Australian connection?

Moomba is the name of an annual festival in Melbourne, Australia.

The name Moomba is believed to derive from an Australian Aboriginal word translating to mean "Letís get together and have fun". However, some say a more literal translation is "Sitting on you arse and doing nothing"..... a political reference to indigenous relations in Oz.

cheers Doc

There's absolutely an Aussie connection. I lived in Melbourne in the late '80s and miss it very, very much so I named both my businesses after the Moomba Festival.

I believe there's an even more "rude" meaning to "Moomba"...

I plan to visit some friends in Melbourne and Darwin in 2008. I hope to ride Eastern Creek and Phillip Island while I'm back in Oz.

Good one Shawn...

I left Melbourne over 15 years ago, but still visit when I can. I'll buy you a beer when you get to Eastern Creek ...

Hope business is doing well

cheers

Doc

I lived in South Yarra and Glen Iris when I was in Melbourne. If I could convince the wife to spend half the year in Australia, I'd be living there now.

If business does well in the next few month, I'll try to buy one of our customer's MV and join you big boys as an official MV owner...
