I had the supplying dealer fit an MV alarm to the Tusimo I purchased in 2016. As stated above this was made by Patrolline. One heavy rain storm later and the alarm stopped working. I removed it myself, fitted into a recess in the left front fairing panel. Removed plug and inverted it and water poured out. Dealer gave a full refund and I fitted a fairly simple Datatool alarm, this only had a inbuilt vibration sensor and wasn't connected to the bike other than power feed so a simple install and it fitted into the recess designed for the factory option alarm. This is really all I needed, just an effective anti tamper alarm. I also had a decent self fitted tracker.
The factory endorsed MV alarm was, in my experience, a PoS, designed to only operate in dry climates.
Good to know. I was actually looking into the MV Agusta anti theft alarm ,which I couldn’t find but eventually did. Looks like it’s made by MV??? ?♀
That datatool looks pretty cool. That’s all I’m really looking for is a noise alarm.
Alarms are pointless ... ignored by everyone as a nuisance, no deterrent to a pro thief and a source of electrical problems.
Not sure about your specific bike, but MV do not approve an alarm for the F4 and the delaer specifically told me that fitting one would affect my warranty and that the did not do it.
Trackers make sense (in principle) but still a waste of money IMO
Another possible idea, why not a video system with live notifications?
In the past, I've mentioned INNOVV with keen interest. I'm sure there are others as its still a developing area for motos.
GPS tracking with shock, ignition and tilt cellphone push notifications. Optional proximity sensor.
Three wire install Bat + Bat - and Ignition switched +.
I built a harness with OEM type plugs that plugs into the OEM charger plug and the 4 pin diagnostic plug to get the three wires connected. I had to order a bunch of each plug instead of just one of each so I have the parts to build more plug and play harnesses.
