WANTED: 2010-on F4 Crankshaft

Crank and rods assembly wanted can be from any of the following models:

2011 F4R or F4RR
2012 F4R or F4RR
2013 F4 or F4R
2014 F4 or F4R
2015 F4 or F4R

Would consider just the crank if rods not available?

I have nothing for your bike....just curious as crank/rod problems are not common on these bikes.
Late model Gen 1 had a few rod problems, but hadn't heard of any with Gen 2 F4s.

Thumbs up ?

Some advice.......
Buy a complete motor, they come up all the time......there was just a bike being parted out in Scotland
The bearings and gaskets are stupid expensive...bearings are sized to the crank AND the cases
You can find clean motors for $1,000-$2,000......I have a spare just in case, it has either 19 or 38 minutes on it

Thanks, I have been looking but there has nt been any come up for the right year etc. Also, with a used engine I wont know what its like inside!! At least if i get a good used crank I'll know what the rest of the internals are like. Its for a race bike so the extra £$£$ for piece of mind is not an issue, i just cant bring myself to fork out for a new crank from MV as thats looking like £2500ish

Just curious, what happened to the engine or crank?

The engine was run on its side and has messed up the big end journals. Does anyone know if these bikes have a tilt switch that should have cut off the engine? The more I look into this the more I hear about the same thing happening.....

The 2010 F4 does have the position switch/sensor 8000A6408. I don't know what the ECU tilt strategy or switch angle with this sensor is.

Can you tell more about why and how long is was running on its side? after a crash? Which side?

Running at idle on it's side won't hurt it....Andy Granatellli put STP in a motor, then drained the oil
and drove across the USA with NO DAMAGE
Over revving a motor does in big end rod bearings..... bounce off the rev limiter on an Aprilia RSVR
WILL kill the big ends

You said it's a race bike.....you check the oil pressure at red line?
You check the accuracy of the tach?

Just have the crank plasma sprayed and reground.......simple and cheap
