Wanted: Rear seat for Brutale 750, 750 S, 910S, 910R, 989R, or 1078RR

I lost mine, as so many have before

If you've got one lying around, I'd be interested!

I actually found my seat lying on the side of the freeway, with the crushed up carbon cover not far down the road. Took a bit of sanding, but I’ve got the base seat back to a usable place sans some vinyl upholstery. Going to save my money for another cover, then glue it down to the seat and tie the seat down to the frame. If it goes again, it’ll just be a small, hard parachute trailing behind me.

Just make sure the hanging length will not allow the tire to pick it up and suck it into the swing arm.

Yeah, was thinking of a way to retract and secure. Will report back when I’ve sorted things out.

Noel had posted his lanyard system some where in the distant past... some others have also done a cable lanyard.

Me, I just give it a good pull at the rear edge to insure firm attachment EVERY TIME I put it back on. It only took one lost seat to figure out how to double check the latch has engaged.

Yep, I pulled the whole rear end apart over the weekend just to educate myself on the locking mechanism 😂

Ah yes, my memory is sometimes faulty. I think it was a UK forum member.....I do recall a lanyard shown in photos. It was quite a while ago.
