Mint 2007 MV Agusta F4 1000 R for sale!

OK, I'm finally selling my 12 year old F4 1000 R mainly because I'm 57 and just have no time for it. Bike is about as mint as you'll find and runs very strong. Perfect in fact. I'm the only owner and the bike has never been raced nor abused in any manner. Bought new in summer 2007 from Charlotte NC MV Agusta dealer. 6600 miles. Red/Silver 1+1. Factory upgrades include Arrows RG3 pipes, factory mid pipe, factory race ecu, factory alcantara seats, ZG smoke screen, and all recall upgrades performed (impeller and fans). All upgrades and recall work was performed in Germany where I lived at delivery until 2009. All was done right. I have all stock parts and every document that came with the bike. Just had the bike freshened. New fuel pump, filter, lines, battery @ $1k (all factory MV parts less battery). Chain and sprockets, fork seals, replaced at 6000 miles. Tires are Michelin Pilot Sport dual compound, replaced at near 6000 miles. They've hardly been used. This bike has never ever seen rain. The closest to rain it has seen was the day I uncrated it in Germany in my driveway after being air-freighted from NC by the MV dealer. I had to hurry as a thunderstorm was approaching!

I'm not desperate to sell and good luck finding a one-owner F4 in mine's condition. $25k+ invested. Worth every penny of $10k.

Serious inquires can respond and I'll text pics.

^^ Thanks. Ultimately at some point it's value will start to climb. Regardless, it's a beast and as thrilling as anything new sold today if not more so. Everything works as new, and it still looks as close to new as you'll find. Buyers of Japanese inline fours have no idea a bike can have incredible low end torque and extreme top end power. Otherwise I assume MV would be a more popular brand because who likes bikes with weak low and midrange power? I'll give this a week and if no luck I'll nationally advertise.

I was at the MotoGP in Austin the other weekend and didn't see one MV except at a custom bike show in downtown Austin the day prior. Paid for the Ducati island so I could at least see some Italian bikes all huddled together. I saw very few Ducatis much newer than my MV that looked well cared for. Anything as old or older looked in average to poor condition, which was a shame since there were some soon to be classics among them.

^^ The only parts on it are all MV Agusta parts. Nothing after-market less the windscreen. Happy to sell it as stock since it's easy to pop back in the original ecu and put back the midpipe catalytic converter and tailpipes, but will leave that to potential buyers. Those MV performance parts alone were around $3k, and installed at the 600 mile first service. Bike sounds like a F1 car from the 3 liter days.

I should have taken it to the MotoGP and sold it there among all those boring bikes lol!

There was a F3 (white) parked near Ducati Island one day of the GP....

and you didn't wander over to the infield market? MV had a stand there with a bunch of bikes on display, Ian and George from MV USA and the MonkeyMoto staff from Dallas on hand.

Anyway, Good luck with your sale.

No unfortunately, I was only there in Sunday and didn’t have time to explore all I wanted to. Would have been nice to let some people know I had a bike for sale

FWIW all these bikes are worth more than the market commands. My price is negotiable. I really want it to go to someone who won't destroy it lol. I once sold a Ducati in Germany and saw it a few years later looking quite sad. Made me sad to see something I took great care of, abused. Hope my MV goes to someone who likes to take care of what they own. My bike really is as good as you'll find. Fresh and ready for another 12 years of perfect operation.

I believe a market determines the price. Of course we always believe our bikes are worth more, but the true value is merely what someone will pay. For instance, I have my aprilia RSV1000R Factory on ebay at the moment. I've purposely listed over the general market price because it is a glamour machine. However, the few offers I've had are coming in at an average of 400 less which makes it bang on market price. So, do I hang out for the top dollar, or sell while the offers are hot? I'll sell on the basis of grab an opportunity whilst it's hot
(As an aside, I just know that @anothermvfanatic will want to know what I'm up to now!!)

Fully agree with you about the depression caused by seeing our former bike (or any possession) trashed by a new owner. Fortunately, I think most MV buyers are more astute in that they're buying the bike with emotion and not as a general hack.

Your bike will sell. It's just a matter of timing.
