Lost part need advice.

While out on my ride today I discovered I somehow lost the nut and pacer plate for the main swingarm bolt. This is the bolt which holds the swingarm to the frame plates. What are my options for replacing the spacer? I can contact Carl and get a OEM replacement or, and you guys know me. Is there a lighter nicer option? I will be replacing the nut with another titanium like before. That was a $30 mistake. Just glad I discovered this before something bad happened. Not sure how many miles I covered today before I lost the nut and spacer

Pretty sure the plate is aluminum which is going to be the lightest metal you'll find to fit in there. To keep it from backing off again try using a lock washer. There is the good old american way of brute force by way of a split washer with a twist to it which applies constant tq. pressure, or one might be able to source a 'ribbed' washer(for lack of better term). If you have had the chance to see a washer on the STM clutches you'll see what i mean. Those little ribs at as teeth that provide enough bit to opposing surfaces to keep them from moving.

Ooooor, that spacer plate is large enough one could drill a few decorative holes in a circular pattern around the large hole. By doing this one can use 2 of those cosmetic holes for anchoring safety wire before wiring it to the bolt itself. Obviously will need to drill the bolt head too.

Pretty sure i have a spare spacer plate. If you need one just pm me your address.

Thanks for the offer. I contacted Carl today and will have one in the mail tomorrow. Hope to have the nut by the end of the week.
