Tyres

Hi Guys,
First post on this forum. I have had my F4 1000r for a year and need new tyres now. Just wondering what everyone is using on their bikes. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Tyres?????? We need another tire thread (and another oil thread, too)

Take your pick of brands. Just about every manufacturer now makes a fine tyre.....If you want mileage on the highways pick a dual compound. If you want sticky in the corners, pick a hyper-performance tire. If you are just doing track days then go for a street legal track tire, or buy slicks if you have tire warmers.

Michelin, Bridgestone, Pirelli, Dunlop, Continental, Metzler.....every company makes a wide range of suitable tires depending on your needs.

Go to their web sites and do some research.

I have used Pirellis (like them). Bridgestones (liked them) and am on Michelins now (like them)....ready to try a set of Dunlops next.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

I have been riding Pirelli's (Corsa's) for many years on both my 750's and 1000 F4's The 1000 triangulates the front quite quickly and the bike becomes very nervous on slower bends, its OK at speed though.

Just moved onto Bridgestone BT 016's and the jury is still out.
