Hybrid crash pads for F4

Finally found the time to make this and install them on the F4.

I friend of mine machined the round parts on the lathe, from alu and a very hard plastic, he also machined the thread in the stock engine bolt.

Than, I had to do the threads in the alu part and the holes in the plastic parts, those are M6 bolts. The one that hold the alu part and is going into engine bolt is M7, since the hole in bolt is prepared already.

The round rubber piece is there to prevent the alu part bending into the frame in case of the fall. It's a very hard rubber and I had quite a few troubles to make it like that. I know, it could be nicer, but I don't have a machine shop, so this will have to do it. Besides, it's not visible. It fits nicely on the frame.

Finally, cut the carbon fiber fairings (no, they are not MV Corse ones) and little bit of modifications and everything is honky-dorry, prepared for the track duty.
Folium is there to prevent the color to chip when I was cutting and filing the fairings.

Yes, I know, left air channel is scratched, previous owner had a mishap on the track.
