Inquiry on headwork/crankwork

Has anyone done or heard of headwork or crankshaft work done on an F4R??
I have a candidate and would like to see if it is worth the effort or would this be a small part of a conglomerate of changes that would need to happen in concert.

motors?

Tree;
what are you planning to do?

Falicon is usually at the top for cranks in bikes;
http://www.faliconcranks.com/crank_svc.html

i'd rather have Carrillo rods;
http://www.cp-carrillo.com/

they own CP Pistons.....so if you want to go big bore too......

NEVER forget the old axiom.......

how fast do you want to go?.......how much money do you have?

getting anything other than factory cams will be a problem......because of the reverse angles ground on the lobes.....it takes a special cam grinding machine to do it

my mentor Ed, who holds most of the cam grinding machine patents.......i showed him an MV cam........he just smiled and said 'yes, i can do it, but you can't afford it'

+1 on the Carillos. Why the reverse angle grind on the cams Noel? Is there anyone you don't know? Lord but you've been around for such a young guy.

I got mine. Boy do I ever got mine.

I am not going to say money is not a problem, because I didnt see too many smiling faces during this recession, and I for damn sure was one of the frowny faces :-)
But i have a little something to throw to the wind

I am looking for suddel but effective
I have a extra:
07' head
Crank
and i figured put it to good use the sell mine 'stock' ones
Not looking to be a drag racer like Yamamcati (by the way, did he get banned?? What the hell happened?!?!), but i want to be a little closer to the new RR :-)
By the by NO BIG BORE!!
I am not looking for a bigger motor, I am looking to see if there is more in this one (which i am pretty sure are in there, i just dont know where)

Exclamation

Best way to get more out of this bike is to get the air going in, coming out as power. Microtec ECU, Good Racing exhaust, good plugs and airfilter, and loose weight - on the bike I mean.

Are you calling me a 'fatty' Donsey :-)

I think I want to do and hand flowed head along with all the other normal upgrades you mentioned, but I dont want to just 'spit into the wind' with money, ya know
I am not looking for high horsepower numbers, just effective changes, even if in concert with other changes.
I cant seem to find anything other than big bore jobs out there and I find it hard to believe that MV has wrung every iota of power out of this engine (as is proved by the new RR).
I just want to see how far this engine can go................ without blowing it up.......... again :-(

Wink reverse?

Lee;
its because of the radial valves.....
normally valves are perpendicular to the cams and the lobes are off center to the cam buckets (to make them rotate)
